We are Trans* Open Wardrobe
We are a Swiss non-profit association led by queer and trans BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) people based in Bern, founded in 2022.
Gender-affirming items are not covered by Swiss healthcare, despite being an important part of gender-affirming care. We provide these items for free for trans, non-binary and gender-expansive people (TNG) in Switzerland who cannot afford to buy them.
We also participate in events for TNG people to find suitable gender-affirming products in safer spaces.

We acquire them through wholesale, donations and collaborations with trans suppliers. We offer:

- Breast prosthetics and padding
- Gaffs/tucking underwear
- Packers and packing underwear

All items we offer are for free to all people who need them but can’t afford them, without discrimination or financial barriers.
Trans* Open Wardrobe is entirely volunteer work and donation based.
We rely on donations to maintain our stock and a small storage/office space to operate from. It would make a huge difference if you set up a regular donation. Monthly donations, even small amounts, allow us to plan for long term.
